Appalachian Trail
What, When, Where?

7-day virtual world expedition May 18-24.

Kick off: May 18, 11am CEST.
Join anytime from anywhere, whether you’re at home or on the trail! You can access resources all day about running on each continent and interviews about past and upcoming running projects, training etc. And you can share your own tips, ideas, questions and stories as well.

Every 18hrs we move to the next continent. We’ll start in Oceania on Monday and end in Antarctica on Sunday. Thursday is Challenge day to make it fun with nice rewards. Timetable (might change).

Why?

Let’s turn global challenges into positive change through running and connecting our efforts, skills and knowledge.

Inspire and support each other during the Cornona crisis and long after.

Let’s create new opportunities and move forward together stronger, one step at a time.

FAQ:

Not at all! You can be as involved as you like to be. Your free ticket gives you access to the whole week program and you can pick and choose what suits you best. It gives you all the resources about running on each continent, including cultural and natural highlights and how to train and prepare from other runners' perspective.

We'll have sessions on different times to serve people in different timezones. The more people join, the more group and 1-on-1 sessions we will organize.
And if we find a great match after the session we still can connect you with people who might be able to help or support.

Although it's great to have all these social tools and platforms, most don't offer the flexibility, interactivity and/or intimacy of a conversation like you could have in real life.

During this 7-day world expedition you can have it all:
You can get to know each other, chat and joke a bit, go deeper with 1 or person or a small group (max 20 people), share interests, support each other, create ideas together, build partnerships and make friends for life!

Well, I'd like you to give it a try. Have a look around and see how it works.

I intend to keep it free forever and have the costs covered by speakers and sponsors.
Let's just start and see how it goes;-)

I'd love to hear from you!
You can send an email to info@trailrunnersconnection.com or via the social handles (see top and bottom of the page).

Talk soon:-)

ABOUT
Trail Runners Connection

Hi, I’m Merlijn, but you can call me Mel:-) I love to run, travel and challenge myself.

In 2017 I felt the impact of air pollution on my running. I decided to do something about it. But I realized I could do so much more by connecting my efforts with those of other runners. Since the Corona virus hit us that need has only grown.

Trail Runners Connection gives runners around the world a voice to vote for a better planet.

Let’s vote with our feet for a clean, happy, healthy world!

LET'S GET READY FOR BETTER DAYS TO COME

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

I believe in the “Power of One”, which is a spark to bring people and ideas together for a greater purpose. Merlijn is Trail Runners Connection’s “Power of One” and I’m so grateful, thankful and inspired by Merlijn’s purpose to bring people together for a greater good.
