“If there is something we would like to change in a child, we should first examine it and see whether it is not something we would do better to change in ourselves.” Carl Gustav Jung
Some gestures have such overwhelming power that they are able to stop our daily race against time. And it is only when things happen that reality begins to reveal itself in our mind. A raw reality, a reality permeated by suffering, a reality made of silence and solitude. We are used to taking everything for granted, used to not being surprised by what is around us and the people we meet. Routine, we call it.
We like to think that these are unique and unrepeatable occasions, which give humans, in general, the possibility of fulfilling themselves every day.
We feel caught in the grip of duty: having to be, having to appear, having to resemble, having to adhere to norms and conventions. This gives us the feeling of equality, the guarantee of being part of a society that does not perceive us as different. Yet diversity makes the news because in some way that Being apparently so similar to us, improperly deviates from the common way of thinking and acting, so much so as to be able to move our consciences. The diktats of our time are absolute: to appear and to have. For this reason we have learned to no longer recognize the indispensability of relationships. Yet happiness is satisfied and realized in the simplicity of the other, it does not desire who knows what, but it is when I am certain that, that someone will be there when I fall, when I make wrong choices, when I am alone. It is precisely with this awareness, that covering a professional role, whatever it may be, that the moment we hear the phrase “There is nothing to do with that boy” then there is a lot to do. Stopping to listen for example. It is only from listening that care is born, and it is through it that love is expressed. It is only by loving that we teach and educate. Without this feeling we will be very good speakers, but terrible mentors.
With these motivations we have carried out the Frena il Bullo project for several years, in collaboration with the SIAP (Italian Union of State Police Members) from which the Libra ets Foundation was born, with projects and activities aimed at combating bullying, cyberbullying, mobbing and gender violence. With the birth of the foundation, the first European Center was also born in Padua, which aims to offer support and answers to the needs of the territory, weaving an active collaboration with the same in order to provide support to children, boys and girls, schools, families and the Educational Community.
Our projects are designed and structured on the basis of the requests, needs and requirements of the schools (both state and private and of all levels) that request them as we are firmly convinced that it is essential, in order for educational actions to take root, to free themselves from “standardized” projects and training that act only downstream and not upstream of a phenomenon that is becoming increasingly entangling.
We focus on products and services that contribute to a healthier, happier planet.
