        Trail Runners Connection

Hi, I’m Merlijn, but you can call me Mel:-) I love to run, travel and challenge myself.

One day, when I felt the impact of air pollution on my running, I decided to do something about it. But I realized I could do so much more by connecting my efforts with those of other runners.

Trail Runners Connection gives runners around the world a voice to vote for a better planet.

Let’s vote with our feet for a clean, happy, healthy world!

To follow a trail is to establish a link with the history of man.
It is at once the most primitive and the most civilized of activities.

Follow in footsteps of trailblazers who save health, nature & wildlife, social care, culture & heritage, safety & human rights, and education through running. Or create your own path.
        Make your miles matter!

Trails not only connect us with each other, they connect us with ourselves.

        President, US Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, 1947-2017

Get inspired by these trailblazers and raise your own Feet Voice.
Make your run more fun and meaningful: share what you care for
and earn prizes that better the future for you, all  people and planet.
        Every footstep counts.

The real purpose of running isn’t to win a race. It’s to test the limits of the human heart.

I believe in the “Power of One”, which is a spark to bring people and ideas together for a greater purpose. Merlijn is Trail Runners Connection’s “Power of One” and I’m so grateful, thankful and inspired by Merlijn’s purpose to bring people together for a greater good.
