She doesn't even like running… but she loves what the running brings
What if your next run wasn’t just a workout…
You know those trailers that drop months before the movie?
A flash of action. A glimpse of transformation. Just enough to make you want more.
What if your next run was that trailer?
Not for a movie, but for your own adventure?
A signal to the world (and to yourself) that says:
“This is the journey I’m training for. This is what it’s all about.”
🎥 Maybe you’re dreaming up a run you’re not ready for (yet).
🎥 Maybe it’s just a 5K commitment to yourself.
🎥 Maybe you're still figuring out the plot, or hoping for a sign.
You don’t need the whole film figured out. Just the vibe. A feeling. A compass.
Here is that compass, in a simple format that works every time:
🎬 “I’m running [X] to [Y], because [Z].”
- [X] = Your challenge
- [Y] = The impact you're aiming for
- [Z] = The deeper reason it matters (to you and others)
Example:
“I’m running as many loops as I can around my city park lake to raise awareness for men’s mental health, because too many are still suffering in silence — and I nearly became one of them.”
And here’s how it looks for a real-life legend:
Fiona Oakes’ Compass Message:
because I want to better animals’ lives, protect the planet, and inspire healthier living for all.”
✅ [X] Challenge: Marathons in extreme conditions around the world (with a knee replacement and no kneecap!)
✅ [Y] Impact: Proving plant-based athletes can thrive at the highest level and raising awareness for animal welfare
✅ [Z] Deeper Reason: Caring for 500+ animals at her sanctuary and inspiring others to take action through compassion
.
This British Vegan Queen is not fond of running but she loves what the running brings.
Despite having a knee replacement and no knee cap from age 17, and being told she would never walk properly again, Fiona holds four Guinness World Records in the marathon and is the fastest woman to run a marathon on all 7 Continents and the North Pole!
Fiona has been vegan for over 45 years and she can run in extreme conditions on just one vegan meal a day.
Fiona’s achievements and devotion didn't go unnoticed:
She became the movie star in the documentary Running for Good, produced by Executive Producer James Cromwell and award-winning Director Keegan Kuhn (Cowspiracy, What The Health), and was narrated by Rich Roll (Finding Ultra).
