Fred’s Team was established in 1995 to honor Fred and the legacy he built by using marathon running as a way to support cancer research. Fred was a co-founder of the New York City Marathon and served as president of New York Road Runners for over 20 years.

Fred ran as a way to fight back against his own cancer diagnosis and make a difference for others by raising money for MSK.

With Fred’s Team, every runner has the opportunity to add more meaning to their miles by raising money for cancer research at MSK. 

100% of every dollar fuels cancer research
Fred’s Team runners choose a type of cancer research to support with their fundraising. All money raised is awarded to MSK doctors and scientists who are world-leading experts in their fields.

For nearly three decades, Fred’s Team runners have been making an impact that goes far beyond the finish line. Together, we imagine a world without cancer.
