“At 55, I’ll be the oldest person to ever complete a solo-self-contained Death Valley crossing. 
There’s no help. No crew. Not even shade. Just me and 146 miles with 120° heat. 

To be official, the run must happen in July or August when temps range from 110° – 134°F (44° – 56C). At night, it doesn’t get much cooler. Staying near 100°. Air humidity so dry, it hurts to breathe,” says Croix Sather about his new challenge, scheduled for August; exact date to be determined.

It’s not just about the record. Croix will be documenting the entire journey:
the training, the preparation, the psychology of attempting the impossible at age 55.
